The National Opens Its First-Ever International Pavilion — and It's Already on the Floor

The 46th National Sports Collectors Convention, running July 29–August 2 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, has launched its first-ever International Pavilion in Hall G. Dealers from the United Kingdom, Germany, Croatia, Hungary, China, Hong Kong, France, and Italy are on the floor — many attending The National for the first time. The pavilion centers on soccer and Formula 1 memorabilia, categories that have historically had limited representation at the show.

This is the clearest signal yet that the American hobby's appetite for international cards has grown large enough to earn dedicated real estate at the biggest show of the year. For collectors who've been chasing Premier League autos, Bundesliga rookies, or F1 driver cards through overseas channels, those dealers are now in the room. That kind of direct access — no import middleman, no currency conversion guesswork — is rare, and it puts international singles in front of a massive domestic audience that may be pricing them for the first time. Expect cross-pollination: American collectors discovering international product, and international dealers getting a read on what the U.S. market actually wants.
