PSA's New Slabs Have a Wrinkle Problem, and the Community Wants Answers

PSA rolled out updated grading slabs for standard trading cards, built from a more durable medical-grade plastic that runs about 20% heavier than the previous version. The new design was pitched as a meaningful upgrade, with better resistance to heat, humidity, UV light, and surface micro-scratches. What PSA did not anticipate publicly was a wave of collector complaints about visible wrinkles appearing in the new holders. A graded card's value is inseparable from the condition of its holder. When wrinkles appear in a slab, the immediate question is whether that affects resale.
