Fanatics Collect Drops Seller Fees — If You Take FanCash

At the 2026 National Sports Collectors Convention in Rosemont, Illinois, Fanatics Collect announced a policy change to its Buy Now Marketplace: seller fees are waived when a seller elects to receive their payout in FanCash rather than cash. The standard Buy Now fee structure charges 6% on listings priced below 120% of market value and 12% on listings at or above that threshold. Opting into FanCash payouts removes that fee entirely.

Seller fees are one of the most-cited friction points on any collectibles marketplace, and a 6–12% bite out of every sale adds up fast — especially on mid-tier cards where margins are thin. This move gives active sellers a real incentive to stay inside the Fanatics ecosystem: zero fees in exchange for keeping proceeds as FanCash, which can be spent across Fanatics Collect, Fanatics.com, Fanatics Sportsbook, and the broader Fanatics ONE platform. For collectors who already buy regularly through Fanatics, that's a genuinely useful trade. The catch is liquidity — FanCash isn't cash, and sellers who need to move money out of the hobby entirely won't benefit. But for the flip-and-rebuy crowd, this is a meaningful cost reduction that could shift volume toward the platform, particularly coming off a high-traffic National where sellers are sitting on fresh inventory.
